How is this different from my annual physical?

A standard annual physical checks 10–15 basic markers — glucose, basic lipid panel, CBC. Ours checks 123. We test advanced markers like ApoB, insulin alongside glucose (to catch insulin resistance years before diabetes), inflammatory markers like hs-CRP and homocysteine, and a full hormonal panel. Most importantly, we score everything using functional medicine optimal ranges — not the broad "normal" ranges that often miss early dysfunction.

The $599 also credits 100% toward any treatment package if you choose to proceed.

What is biological age?

Biological age is an estimate of how old your body is functioning — independent of your chronological age. Someone who is 45 years old chronologically might have a biological age of 38 (aging well) or 55 (aging faster than expected). We use validated algorithms that analyze specific blood biomarkers correlated with aging, mortality risk, and functional decline.

We use three validated algorithms — PhenoAge (Levine et al., 2018), the Klemera-Doubal Method (KDM), and our proprietary 1836 Functional Bio Age — analyzing markers across 12 health domains. This gives you not just a number, but a map of where your body is aging and what's driving it.

The Precision Diagnostic is $599. That's the starting point for every patient. If your results indicate you'd benefit from a treatment protocol, packages start at $3,500 for our Executive Reset program. The $599 panel payment credits 100% toward any treatment package.

Do you accept insurance?

Not at this time. 1836 Wellness is a concierge service. Some patients have submitted their blood work receipts to their insurance or HSA/FSA for partial reimbursement — we can provide the necessary documentation, but reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Our protocols are designed for high-performing professionals and executives who want deeper insight into their metabolic health than a standard physical provides. All adults are welcome. You must be a current Texas resident.

Why Texas only?

Medical services are regulated at the state level. Our physicians and nurse practitioners are licensed in Texas, and our MSO structure operates under Texas Corporate Practice of Medicine guidelines. We plan to expand to additional states in the future.

How does the mobile blood draw work?

After booking, your care team schedules a licensed, background-checked phlebotomist to come to your home, office, or hotel at a time that works for you. The draw takes about 15 minutes. Samples are sent to our CLIA-certified lab partner for processing.

Who supervises my treatment?

All protocols are supervised by licensed physicians and nurse practitioners under Texas medical practice law. 1836 Wellness operates as an MSO (Management Services Organization) under ProMed Preferred LLC physician oversight. We handle administrative and concierge services; all clinical decisions are made by licensed providers.

Can I just get the blood panel without treatment?

Absolutely. Many patients start with the Precision Diagnostic to understand their baseline. You're under no obligation to proceed with a treatment package. Your report and consultation are valuable on their own — you'll walk away with more insight into your health than most people get in a decade of annual physicals.
